Hi. I’m Clark.
Hi, I’m Clark. Well—technically, I’m Chris Clark, but most people just call me Clark. Thanks for stopping by. This is my first go at a “personal-professional” blog, and honestly, it feels long overdue. I’ve always wanted a place to share my story and how the twists, turns, and occasional creative detours have helped shape who I am today. So… here I am.
I’m a marketing and communications professional based in the Kansas City metro area, and my career has been anything but boring. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across public and private sectors and inside organizations ranging from large corporations to scrappy start-ups. My background includes multi-modal communication strategy, content development, lead generation, public relations, marketing, branding, social media management, graphic design, and video production. In short: if it involves telling a story, building a message, or creating something people want to engage with, I’ve probably done it.
I’ve had the chance to help dozens of growing organizations strengthen how they communicate—both internally and externally—through thoughtful collaboration and smart, modern tools. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping teams connect the dots and see faster, better results.
But the professional side is only half the story.
I’ve always been a creative at heart—and a musician for as long as I can remember. In my earlier years, I was lucky enough to tour the country with a professional rock band. It was wild, formative, and genuinely unforgettable. These days, my musical life looks a little different but just as fun. I spend my free time playing in an ’80s nostalgia band called Blue Oyster Culture Club, as well as an instrumental project called Sisters Of…
I’ve learned that stepping outside your comfort zone—whether on a stage, in a new role, or somewhere on the road—changes how you see the world. Exploring new experiences expands your point of view, opens doors you didn’t know existed, and pushes your personal zeitgeist forward. So take every chance to explore, stretch, and see what’s out there. You never know how it might shape you.
